K-Tech Riders Perform in ASBK

Fast Lap Times and Podium Finishes on K-Tech Suspension

Three-time Australian Superbike (ASBK) Champion, and current title holder, Wayne Maxwell took a clean sweep of victories at Round 5 of the National Championship held in Morgan Park Raceway, QLD last weekend. Despite a disrupted Friday practice due to rain, Wayne, and the Boost Mobile Racing K-Tech Ducati V4R were able to secure valuable championship points with another pole position (his third of the year), and wins in both Race 1 and Race 2. Maxwell also laid claim to the fastest ever motorcycle lap of the Morgan Park Circuit during the Q2 session with a staggering time of 1m13. 370. “The team gave me the ultimate package this weekend” commented round winner Wayne Maxwell. “That second race was one of the toughest I have been in... Adrian my Engineer did a great job with the setup and that allowed me to make that move in race two. I really appreciated the effort that everyone in the team and all our sponsors put in this weekend to allow us to get this result and get some points for the championship.” These results have reduced Wayne's gap in the Championship lead to just 29 points with 2 Rounds remaining.

Supersport campaigner Tom Bramich #44 also enjoyed podium finishes in both races with a 2nd in Race 1, and a 3rd in Race 2, on his K-Tech shod Yamaha YZF-R6. Tom finished 2nd overall for the weekend and currently sits 4th in the Championship.

The next Round will be held at the iconic Phillip Island Circuit in Cowes, VIC in conjunction with the World Superbike Event on November 18-20.
