The K-Tech Suspension ORSS replaces the standard air spring system with a conventional fork spring system. Fork springs are available in a wide range of rates to match rider weight and riding style. The ORSS design reduces stiction (friction in direction change) created by the high air pressure of the standard air system. Additionally, a spring system is less complicated to set up when compared to calculating the optimum balance of pressures on air systems. The ORSS inserts have quickly proved themselves in competition use, and are the choice of top motocross racers across the U.K. and Europe.
As with all K-Tech manufactured products, the ORSS are built following extensive engineering and research, with high quality materials and precision finished surfaces. All aluminium components are hard anodized and steel is hard chrome plated for reduced maintenance intervals and dramatically reduced fluid contamination. In addition, the available fork springs are heat treated, shot peened, precision wound, and fully polished -- reduces fluid contamination. ORSS upgraded forks will not only help improve the handling and stability of the motorcycle but also have the desired “factory” look. The ORSS Air2Spring conversion kits arrive ready to install, set up and provide consistent feedback from the front forks.
The K-Tech Off Road Spring System provides external spring preload adjustment, and the original fork remains fully adjustable in compression and rebound damping.
